Brilliant! I ordered one M-6500A, connected it to my TV via my HDMI input, and then connected it to my network via a Wireless N bridge. Now I can digitize my entire video library. This is exactly what I wanted. I expect to order more in the future.

I recently bought the TVIX 6500 HD box and I must say it is absolutely amazing. I was for a while thinking about getting the Apple TV box and I was on the verge of getting it but then I started to look at the file formats it supported, how big the disk inside of it was and what I could do with it . . . I put in a 500 GB disc in [my 6500] and I have all my fav. DVD's in .ISO format on it, some DIVX files, some XVID files, some .MKV files and more coming in as time goes by. I bought some Blu-ray movies and extracted the movies only and made them into .MKV movies. Works perfect. Sure it stumbles at times when you FFW and REW the .MKV files but so does my PC. .ISO files (DVD copies) work like a charm. No problems what so ever so far. This thing is the best thing since sliced bread :p … and you know what? It works the way you want it to.

Thank you for the TVIX Box 4100SH! I used to have a MVIX 5000R and I decided to upgrade to the TVIX Box 4100SH for the MKV compatibility which is way better than I expected! I also found that the TVIX Box can play a lot of the video files that the MVIX wouldn't play! It's played 100% of the files that I've thrown at it (I would say 85% worked on the MVIX). I currently have a 1TB Hitachi drive in it which was simple to install and got everything working. Thank you very much!

Just wanted to tell everyone at tvixbox.com, you sell an amazing product! Outstanding service and an unbelievable new toy! I love being able to listen to my music in my living room without having to drag my laptop, ipod, etc. with me! I purchased the M3100U and it arrived today and I haven 't looked back since. Now all I need to do is put all my DVD 's on the thing! Thanks again, Garrett

I have a tvix hard drive player and it can fit massive amounts of movies if I can convert them down to 700MB's or so each. It's absolutely wonderful to have my entire movie collection compressed onto one portable source.

I have a TViX with a 300 GB hard drive. Overall it's quite good, and I use it almost every day.

I have the Tvix and use it daily with my Toshiba RPTV at 1080i with no problems. It actually looks much better than the component out from my Radeon 9800 (better contrast and superior scaling, post-processing than zoom player/ffdshow). VCD's scale nicely. Overall, it is a great product. Image quality is amazing, the menues are very nice, and the remote works well. I have a 300GB Maxtor 5400rpm 2MB buffer drive installed, and I usually just update the files once a week or so. For a total investment of under $400, you cant beat it for a high quality stand-alone movie server. THe portability is cool too, as I can loan it to friends or take it on trips and it works seamlessly with non-HD setups. I highly recommend it.

I bought one of these to give the parents. All I can say about it is that so far it has worked as advertised and is a great way to introduce a computer (of sorts) into the tv watching equation.

The video does sync properly at 480p on the DLP. On CRT HDTV all resolutions worked.
This little box works well as a portable media server. When plugged into the USB port on a computer it becomes a USB hard drive where you can rip DVD, audio files or pictures.
Once the USB cable is unplugged it becomes a media player with Composite, S-Video, and Component (YPbPr) output supporting 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i. Stereo analog audio and S/PDIF digital output. The output options will allow it to interface with almost any TV.

I have the tvix and is a really good player. I store my ripped dvds, music- MP3s, AVI files, pictures and play back on my TV and digital amp. Works a treat. I've had no problems with it and is small enough to take anywhere. Highly recommend it. Can put any size harddrive in it as well.
